This series of ceramic handles was developed through What the Hand Holds, a six-week educational programme run by STORE PROJECTS and supported by Flawk. The project brought together young people aged 14 to 18 to explore how everyday architectural details are designed, made and used.
Working alongside practising artists and designers, the students designed, moulded, cast and glazed their own ceramic handles, learning each stage of the process by hand. STORE PROJECTS now produces a number of the handles, with royalties from each piece sold going directly to the young makers.
As a Community Interest Company, STORE PROJECTS works to address imbalances in art, design and architecture education, supporting young people from underrepresented backgrounds to access creative pathways. This collection reflects that mission.
Each handle is handmade. Variations in form, surface and glaze are part of the character of the series

- Product Care
To care for your ceramic handles, wipe gently with a soft cloth using warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the finish.
- Delivery & Returns
All orders are dispatched from the UK via Royal Mail. If the item is in stock, delivery takes approximately 3–5 working days. Please note that custom-made orders may take longer. International shipping is available and delivery times will vary depending on the destination. Returns are accepted within 14 days of purchase. Custom items are non-refundable.
